Built around the middle of the fifth century, it stands on a rocky spur on the s
outhern edge of the settlement. The irregularity of the terrain made necessary the construction of a large base, on which the temple was erected. It is surrounded by a row of Doric \b \cf1 \ATXht3 columns\b0 \cf0 \ATXht0 , which stand on a plinth with fo
ur steps. All the columns on the north side and part of those on the east side have survived, while the rest are in a more or less fragmentary state. Inside, the temple was divided into three rooms, the \b \cf1 \ATXht16 pronaos\b0 \cf0 \ATXht0 , the cell
